Tuesday’s Champions League Clashes Provides Feast Of Goals

UCL matchday 3

It’s been a long time since so many goals were scored on any matchday in the UEFA champions league. A total of 40 goals were scored in eight clashes as European strikers were out in their full talents and the defenders and goalkeepers did not have such a great day in the office.

In some of the more lopsided results, Shakhtar and Bayern Munich both put seven past BATE and Roma respectively while in the more close contests, Shalke beat Sporting Lisbon 4-3 while Manchester City battled to a 2-2 draw against CSKA Moscow.

Players like Robben and Hazard enjoyed really fine games scoring braces and helping clubs go top their respective tables in the Champions League. Chelsea also beat Maribor 6-0 while Barcelona beat Ajax 3-1. Cavani’s strike was the only goal in PSG’s win over Apoel Nicosia.

Real Madrid, Juventus, Arsenal, Dortmund,Atletico Madrid and Liverpool are some of the clubs in action today. And with players like Ronaldo, Tevez Mandzukic, we can expect to see some more goals tonight.
