LASU-AASOC Presents ‘COSA Fashion Show’ ft Denrele Edun, Yomi Casual,

Communication Students’ Association (COSA), Lagos State University-Adebola Adegunwa School of Communication (LASU-AASOC) is set to present another edition of her mind-blowing fashion show (COSA Fashion Show) on November 13, 2014.


Fashion in its sense has moved beyond the combination of colours and different materials, it has been showcased from diverse dimensions thereby creating a giant market for itself.


COSA Fashion show is a platform aims at exposing fashion lovers and ultimately, Nigerians to new collections of styles in African/International fashion industry; by bringing together buyers, consumers and the media to view the current collections of African/International creative works.


The one-day fashion show to be staged at the AASOC car Park, 21, Olufemi street, off Nathan street, Ojuelegba road, Yaba Lagos by 10am will feature leading fashion moguls like, Omoniyi Makun, the brain behind renowned fashion designing outfit, Yomi Casual,Denrele Edun who is known for his unique fashion style and personality, Bobby Signatures and other international fashion designing outfits to be unveiled at the event.


With a bid of creating favourable platforms for fashion designers, the organizers has made it open for interested designers who will like to participate to pick a form at the COSA office, 21, Olufemi street off Nathan street Ojuelegba road, Yaba Lagos.

Canada Stops The Giving Out of Visas To Ebola Hit Countries

In a bid to also stop the spread of Ebola into its borders, the Canadian government today October 31st announced its suspension of visa applications for travelers from Ebola-hit countries.


Canada’s health Minister, Rona Ambrose says:



“Our number one priority is to protect Canadians. We continue to work with domestic and international partners to aid efforts to respond to the outbreak in West Africa, while strengthening our domestic preparedness here at home.”



The Canadian immigration minister, Chris Alexander said Canadian immigration authorities will not process any visa application for individuals who have been in any Ebola-affected nation ‘within three months prior to the date of the application.

Falc-out! Radamel Falcao To Miss Manchester Derby

Wayne Rooney will be available for the Manchester derby, but teammate Radamel Falcao will be watching from the sidelines.


Rooney will be returning from a 3-match ban after getting past a rumored foot injury, but Falcao still suffers from a training injury and will miss the Etihad Stadium clash.


Man Utd manager Louis Van Gaal said: “Rooney was not injured. The media was writing that but he was never injured.


“Maybe his shoes were too tight, that is possible. But he was never injured and he shall play. He is my captain.”


“Falcao is still injured,” Van Gaal added.

Tambuwal Sues FG Over Withdrawal Of Security Detail

A day after his security aides were withdrawn by the Federal Government, the Speaker of the House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal, has filed a suit against the FG before a Federal High court in Abuja.


Tanbuwal filed the suit today Oct. 31st asking the court to declare that the withdrawal of his security aides while he’s still the Speaker is unlawful and unconstitutional. He also asked the court to restrain FG from further infringing on his rights and privileges. There are reports they are trying to declare his seat vacant and organize a bye-election for the purpose of replacing him. Tanbuwal asked the court to restrain FG, INEC, PDP and IGP from doing this. In the meantime, he wants the court to order FG to return his security detail pending the determination of the suit.

Shuaibu Amodu Glad To Return Super Eagles Job To Stephen Keshi

Shuaibu Amodu has said that he believes it is in the best interest of everybody that Stephen Keshi is back as the head coach of the Super Eagles.


Keshi was reinstated by the NFF on Wednesday, and Amodu feels it’s best Keshi finishes the African Cup qualifiers with the team.


“Following wide consultations that I have carefully made within the past two weeks since the appointment, and for the sake of professionalism, I want to specially appeal to you to reconsider the matter and allow Keshi to finish the project that he has started – the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying race.


“Sir, my opinion also is that the time –frame is too short to start tinkering with the fabric of the team or attempt to build a new team altogether.


“As Technical Director of the NFF, I am ready and willing to help build a better relationship among Keshi (with whom I have enjoyed good working relationship in the past and who is still very close to me), the players and the NFF Technical Committee.


“I am assuring you, Mr. President(Amaju Pinnick) that I will offer whatever assistance required by Keshi and his crew for the remaining two matches, and also be there to offer advice, suggestions and efforts towards building a stronger Super Eagles’ team after the qualifying race.”
