Real Madrid reigned supreme at Anfield tonight as they ran out 3-0 winners in their champions league clash with Liverpool
Liverpool started out pressing high up the pitch and trying to force the Galacticos into making errors but in the 23rd minute, Ronaldo put Real Madrid ahead with his first ever strike at Anfield, a deft touch after getting on the end of James Rodriguez’s pass. Benzema made it two in the 30th minute as he connected to Kroos’ cross at the far post with a looping header. Benzema added his second of the night in the 41at minute after a scramble from a corner put the ball in his path and the Frenchman made it three for Madrid.
The second half was played at a much slower pace with Real Madrid simply containing Liverpool and completely shutting them out and only changing pace a few times in the match.
Real Madrid have now made it 7 straight wins in European competitions, a new club record and currently sit above the rest in their group with 9 points.
