Real Madrid ensured that Luis Suarez full debut for Barcelona was a forgettable Ronaldo, Pepe and Benzema cancelled out Neymar’s opener to give Real Madrid the win.
Neymar received the ball on the left from Suarez in the 4th minute and rode two challenges before driving the ball into the bottom right corner to give Barcelona the lead. Ronaldo equalized for Madrid from the spot after Pique handled the ball in the box in the 35th minute. Real Madrid began the second half brightly and when Madrid won a corner in the 50th minute, Pepe was on hand to nod the ball home from the corner. Barcelona pressed forward in search of an equalizer and Real Madrid looked to break on the counter and after Iniesta and Mascherano managed to get mixed up and lose the ball to Isco, the Spain midfielder moved the ball to James who threaded the ball through to Benzema who made it 3-1
