Video: Fernando Torres Misses Open Goal Multiple Times In His First Training Session At Atletico Madrid

Fernando Torres will be hoping his move back to his boyhood club, Atletico Madrid will finally bring back his mysteriously misplaced lack of confidence in front of goal, well his fortunes won’t be changing anything soon.


It seems the switch to Spain hasn’t been the miracle goalscoring cure Torres was hoping for.


Torres was captured missing an open net multiple times and even getting his feet tangled in ladders and hoops.

Brendan Rodgers Planning Quiet January Transfer Window

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed he wouldn’t be making any moves in the January transfer window.


“My first look is always within – we’ve seen how we’ve adapted the team and structure of team in order to make that work,” he explained.


“There won’t be much activity in January – we’ve brought in a lot of players in the summer who beginning to adapt to life and a way of working at Liverpool.”


“January won’t be busy my job is to coach and manage the players who are here, and make the most of their talent.”

35 Dead In New Year Stampede In China

At least 35 people were killed with 43 more injured in a stampede during a New Years’ eve celebration in Shanghai, China.


The stampede occurred at The Bund, a popular tourist strip in the city.


The cause of the stampede is yet unknown, and many of the victims were students, according to China’s Xinhua news agency.


So sad!

Bomb Goes Off In Gombe On New Year’s Eve

According to The Cable, a bomb has gone off at 301 Mammy Market, situated inside the only military barracks in Gombe, Gombe state. A security source who confirmed the blast to TheCable, said an unknown number of people were killed in the incident, which occurred a few minutes after 8pm. When contacted, Fwaje Atajiri, the police spokesman in the state, said he did not have any information in that regard because he was on holiday.
