Super Eagles’ Failure: Stephen Keshi Claims People Are Out To Sabotage Him

Stephen-Keshi

The Super Eagles have had a torrid time in the qualifiers for the 2015 African Nations Cup, and coach Stephen Keshi is refusing to take any of the blame.

Instead, Keshi, 52, is blaming the poor performances on certain people who he believes are out to get him.

“There is sabotage from within,” Keshi said. “Some people just don’t give a damn about this country. They are ready to go the extra mile to see Keshi fails.”

“It’s not about me, it should be the country first.”

“Some people are ready to sell this country for a dime. They don’t want this team to get to the AFCON. But they’re not God.”

“I am disappointed in the attitude of some people who are hell bent on wanting me to fail without considering the interest of Nigeria as a nation.

“And this is not Keshi’s team. This is a national team. Keshi is a professional coach and after this (assignment), he will get another job elsewhere.”
