Casillas continued in his recent character of high profile mistakes and Diego Costa’s indifferent form for Spain continued as lowly Slovakia brought two time European champions Spain to their knees with a 2-1 win


Iker Casillas made a mess of a routine save and allowed Kucka’s 17th minute free kick go past him into the net despite Spain starting the brighter of the two teams. Spain pressed all game for an equalizer and their equalizer came in the 82nd minute through substitute Paco Alacer as his pounced on Jordi Alba’s through pass and finished brilliantly. As Spain pressed for a winner, Miroslav Stoch struck the knockout blow for Slovakia with a brilliant header in the 87 the minute to win the tie for Slovakia.
