Germany Fail To Win Again, Draw Against Ireland

o'shea celebrates goa against germany

John O’Shea’s last minute equalizer for the Republic of Ireland ensured that World Champions Germany endured another frustrating night as they failed to win for the second match straight,

Germany looked to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Poland in their last qualifier as they took on the Republic of Ireland but the Irish did a great job of frustrating their opponents throughout the match as they sat deep and looked to hit on the counter. Toni Kroos finally put Germany ahead in the 79th minute with a low shot that went in off the upright and it looked like the Real Madird man’s strike was going to see Germany through. Ireland fought back brilliantly and O’shea got their reward in the last minute of stoppage time as he got ahead of Mats Hummels to knock in the equalizer on his 100th appearance for his country.
