Ekiti State Election: Ayo Fayose Sworn In As Governor

Ayo Fayose has been sworn-in as the governor of Ekiti State after beating competitor, former governor Kayode Fayemi at the polls.

Governor Ayo Fayose has officially begun his second journey as the top man of Ekiti State as he was officially sworn in on Thursday, October 16.


Dr. Kolapo Eleka was also sworn in as deputy governor by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Ayodele Daramola.


Present at the swearing in were the Governors of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bauchi and the national chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Muazu Adamu.


The induction ceremony held at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado-Ekiti and was attended by supporters of the governor and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
