Parma have missed five games this season due to their home stadium being under lock and key owing to their inability to pay rent, they have been unable to pay salaries and the Parma mayor and the league board have had to chip in with contributions just to ensure that the club make it to the end of the season. But through all these challenges, Jose Mauri and his teammates were able to pull off the biggest upset of the season and beat seria A leaders and defending champions Juventus 1-0
Juventus rested Pirlo, Tevez and Buffon for the game thinking they could breeze through as they prepared for Monaco in the champions league. Juventus were comfortable and looked set to break the deadlock but were unable to throughout the first half. Parma lokked for sniffs of chances until the 60th minute when Belfodil laid off a brilliant pass for Mauri, who angled his shot perfectly into the corner of the net to give Parma the lead. Despite a late Juve onslaught, Parma held on to give their fans their most memorable moment of a rather perilous season.
