Watch Out For Cuadrado: Mouriinho

Since his 23 million Euro move from Fiorentina to Chelsea, Juan Cuadrado has struggled to make an impact at the London club and the Colombian has even struggled to make first team appearances. Heading into the clash between Manchester United and Chelsea however, the fleet footed Colombian received the support of manager, Jose Mourinho who believes Cuadrado would come good next season.

Some sections of Chelsea fans were beginning to question the logic in briging in Cuadrado and letting Salah and Schurrle leave the club but Mourinho move to allay their fears, expressing that he expects Cuadrado to be one of the big stars in the Premier league next season. ‘A player needs time and I am ready to give him time. The club is ready to give him time’ Mourinho told reporters “It looks like he’s ready to have this time. Next season, I believe he can have a fantastic season.” It is however unlikely that Cuadrado would be handed a starting place against Manchester United today.

Chelsea fans are however afraid that Cuadrado could turn out to be like Quaresma, with plenty of skill and potential but ended up being largely ineffective.
