Mourinho: Oscar Going Nowhere

Oscar has been the source of plenty transfer rumors in recent weeks with Juventus looking to land the Brazilian Chelsea playmaker, while Liverpool are also said to be monitoring his situation. But Mourinho has stepped up to rule out the possibility of a move away from Stamford Bridge for Oscar, at least for this summer.

The 23-year-old has found himself playing from the bench in recent weeks as he is currently suffering from lack of form which may be a result of the burn out from playing so many competitions and major matches for the Blues. This led to rumors that the Brazilian may become available as he might be seen as surplus to requirements at Chelsea and Juventus were lined up as a possible destination for Oscar. When asked about the rumours in today’s press conference, ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Manchester United, Mourinho insisted he has no desire to let Oscar leave Stamford Bridge. ‘He just signed a contract a few months ago, one of players with best contracts, long-term,’ he said. ‘Obviously, we don’t want to sell.’

Even though Mourinho is not willing to sell yet, Oscar would have to get his act together as Mourinho is not popular for his patience with underperforming players.
