Following the decision of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to have conceded to defeat to the president-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd) of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 Presidential election, Nigerians have joined World Leaders to applaud him.
Barrack Obama of the United States of America, Mr François Hollande of France; Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations and others all took to social micro-blogging site-twitter, to thank him for congratulating Buhari and conceding defeat, a decision, many argued save the country from post-election violence.
The hashtag (#GEJismyHERO), was created by his Special Assistant on New Media, Reno Omokri, who pledged his loyalty to his principal even in defeat.
Mr. Omokri concluded that.”He deserves a Noble Peace Prize”
