Not Worth It: Chelsea Not Ready To Pay For Messi

Rumors have linked Lionel Messi with a move away from Barcelona in the summer with the situation at the club very tense in recent weeks.

Messi was dropped by Luis Enrique on the 2^nd in their loss to Sociedad and reports started flying around that Messi was on the way out. Reports linked Chelsea with a move for the four time Ballon D’Or winner. Messi has been valued at five hundred million Euros and Chelsea believes the price is too much for the player. Chelsea’s officials have stated that the price is too much for any player and have rescinded their interest in the player.

Chelsea would be a wonderful acquisition for Chelsea but it is unlikely that the diminutive forward would be staying put at Barcelona for the foreseeable future.
