Congo were left licking their wounds as DR Congo came out on top in the battle of the Congos despite DR Congo being two goals down after 65 minutes.

After a very cagey first half, the match opened up in the second half and in the 55th minute, Dore went in behind the DR Congo defense to knock a free kick delivery into the back of the net. Eight minutes later, it was 2-0 after some good work released Dore whose initial shot was parried onto the path of Bifouma who knocked the ball in. Mbokani made it 2-1 in the 65th minute after some good work by Bolasie on the flanks gave him the simple task of knocking the ball in unmarked. Ten minutes later, Bolika was on hand to equalize after being set free just outside the box, he found the top corner with a lovely drive. Kimuki completed the comeback in the 81st minute nodding the ball in from a free kick at the back post. And with Congo pressing for an equalizer, a quick counter attack by DR Congo set up Mbokani in the 91st minute to seal the victory.
