According to Wikipedia, pornography or porno or porn is the portrayal of sexual subject matter for the purpose of sexual arousal. Pornography may be represented in different media and forms including in magazines, books, photographs, sculptures, painting, voice recording, animation and movies but for the benefit of this post, we will be focusing on pornographic movies which is the most explicit form of portraying sexual subjects to induce sexual arousal because it makes use of some of these other forms of pornography.
Pornographic movies contains explicit depiction of sexual activity. It shows, graphically, how the act is being carried out. I know most of us have watched porn (if not all of us), either by chance, by choice or by force. For those who have not seen one before, let me describe (as best as I can) one for us. A pornographic movie is like every home movie out there except it contains heavy sexual acts; actors and actresses going at it without any care in the world in front of a camera to be later showcased for everyone who can access it. In a porn, the actors held nothing back sexually. There is fellatio or blow job; as it is popularly known, cunnilingus; the oral stimulation of the clitoris or vulva and other forms of foreplay apart from kissing and smooching the boobs.
In short, porn is supposed to be a form of instruction manual you turn to when you want to have sex. It is meant to teach you the different ways to have sex and how to get in touch with your sexuality. For single people, porn is used for sexual stimulation, that is, it provides a way to have a sexual release in the absence of a partner and has been said to help counter the issue of sexual immorality. But not only single people enjoy the benefits of watching pornographic movies, there are advantages of watching porn together with your boyfriend.
While watching porn together with your boyfriend, it give you a practical idea of how to spice up your sex life. It opens your eyes to a wider horizon of the many adventures you can have in the bedroom. It practically catapults your sex life from cliche to exciting. You learn different styles and different ways to please your man. The good thing about porn is that you do not have to follow everything you see 100 percent. All you have to do is watch and learn and you can innovate your styles. Watching porn is also a way to create a special connection between the both of you. Far from what you heard, watching porn together as a couple creates a shared experience that can help your relationship grow; like your own secret private joke no has to be in on. According to a study published in the archives of Sexual Behaviour, unmarried couples who watch porn together have a more satisfying and more committed relationship than couples who watch it without the other. Therefore, one can conclude that introducing porn to a relationship can do it a lot of good.
However, the controversy about sexually explicit movies being a taboo is still a very big issue. Majority still view sex as sin and should only be done as an act of procreation, much less watching the film that depicts the act. Those who indulge in premarital sex still want to preserve “some dignity” and so would not even bring up the issue of porn with their boyfriends. There is also the issue of “let him bring it up”. Females who enjoy sex and also would love to watch porn with their boyfriends will shy away from it just because the boy is meant to be the naughty one and they are supposed to still maintain a bit of decency. The fear of being called names and rejection will put so many ladies off. Watching porn may also not improve your sex life, especially if done as a routine rather than for fun. While watching porn and the other seems to be totally into the movie, neglecting the partner, it may also become an issue. Finding the right movie that both of you will enjoy and find “educating” may also be tough. To enjoy porn with your boyfriend, you have to find a balance between what turns him on and what turns you on, which may be a difficult thing to do.
In all, pornographic movies have their pros and cons but as an unmarried lady, should you watch porn with your boyfriend?
