U2 frontman Bono has been involved in a serious cycling accident.
Bono was treated at the Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, who revealed that 2 surgeries were carried out on the rock star.
On Sunday, his arm fracture involved a five-hour operation and was repaired with three metal plates and 18 screws. On Monday, Bono had surgery on his left hand.
The band revealed on its website Monday that Bono had “injured his arm in a cycling spill.” In a statement, the hospital expanded on the incident, saying that Bono was involved in “a high-energy bicycle accident when he attempted to avoid another rider.”
The singer’s serious injuries include a “facial fracture involving the orbit of his eye,” three separate fractures of his left shoulder blade and a fracture of his left humerus bone in his upper arm.
