No New Signings In January: Rodgers

Liverpool have endured a horrible season so far and despite spending nearly 150 million Euros on their squad in the summer, the Merseyside outfit find themselves 12th in the league following a shock defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Fans all over the world have asked for Liverpool to bring in quality players in January as they have been unable to replace Suarez and are suffering the loss of Daniel Sturridge to injury. Liverpool Manager, Brendan Rodgers has however come out to state that he is not looking to bring anyone in in January. In his pre-match conference, Rodgers was asked about his transfer policy and the effect losing on Sunday had on his team. Rodgers replied saying ‘It [buying new players] is not something I am looking at,’ he said. After the weekend, the focus was not to dwell on that. We have to learn from that and try and get a result here [at Ludogorets]. I just need to get us back to a level of confidence that allows you to perform. Losing can be the making of you. You learn from it. That is what we are aiming to do.’

Liverpool take on Ludogorets later today in the Champions League as they look to advance beyond the group stage in a tournament they have won more than any other English club; 5 times.
