Madrid Basel

Real Madrid maintained their record of no draws and no losses in this season’s champions league as they beat Basel 1-0 while Cristiano Ronaldo equaled Raul Gonzalez’s scoring record in the UEFA champions league.

Ronaldo’s 35th minute strike was the games solitary goal. Both teams created chances in the second half but failed to convert as Bale saw a shot come back off the crossbar and Ronaldo missed a sitter in the 79th minute. Basel’s Hamoudi missed to great chances to equalize for Basel.

Real Madrid were able to grind out a 15th consecutive win as they march on, looking to defend the Champions League.
