New York Times Article Criticizes Nigerian Government For Boko Haram Handling

With Schoolgirls Taken by Boko Haram Still Missing U.S. Nigeria Ties Falter NYTimes.com

In an article written on the ‘New York Times titled With Schoolgirls Taken by Boko Haram, U.S,-Nigeria Ties Falter‘, German based Eric Schmidt talks about the dying relationship between the Nigerian Government due to Boko Haram Activities.


The article reveals how the American Government sent drones and personnel to help Nigeria but distrust between the two governments led to a breakdown. America which promised to share information with the Nigerian military did not give out raw information because they believe Boko Haram has infiltrated the military. Meanwhile, the Americans got frustrated by the corruption rife in the Nigerian militray.
