Despite putting in a mediocre performance, Manchester United were able to beat Queens Park Rangers at Loftus road to keep their hunt for a top four finish intact.
Manchester United started the match brightly but were unable to capitalize on their possession and as the first half progressed, QPR grew into the game and managed to create some good chances. After a boring first half, Fellaini was introduced in place of Mata and the Belgian found the back of the net after being on the pitch for eleven minutes to make it one nil to Manchester United after Valencia squared the ball to him in the QPR box. QPR took control of the game but could not put the ball in the net and were punished by a quick counter in the 93rd minute by another substitute, James Wilson whose original shot was stopped by Green before he put in the rebound.
Manchester United have bounced back from their loss in to Southampton and will be looking to return to their third position.
