Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed his third Ballon D’Or award warding off competition from Manuel Neuer and Lionel Messi


Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the Ballon D’Or award for the first time in 2009. Won it again last year has been acclaimed the best footballer in the world. Ronaldo struggled with Portugal at the World Cup had a phenomenal year for club and country and won the UEFA Champions league, breaking the scoring record in a single tournament with 17 goals before winning the club world cup in addition to the Copa Del Rey that he won earlier in the year.


Ronaldo is now one award behind Lionel Messi and would look to pick up another award this year
