Champions League Headed To Milan In 2016

In its meeting earlier today, UEFA’s committee decide that the final of next season’s UEFA champions league would be played in the Italian city of Milan on the home turf of European powerhouse, AC Milan; the San Siro.

This would be the fourth time that the Champions league final is being played at the San Siro. The San Siro hosted the 1965, 1970 and 2001 finals. AC Milan have never won the trophy on home soil and if they are going to, they would have to play well in the Seria A and compete in the Champions League next season. The final is scheduled for the 18th of May, 2016


The Europa league final for next season would take place at Basel in Switzerland while 2016’s super cup trophy would be played for in Trondheim in Norway as decided by the UEFA committee.
