One of the Chibok girls, named Susanna Ishaya, who was abducted by the Boko Haram sect was found by the police in the early hours of yesterday in Mubi, Adamawa State, two days after she was thrown off a truck by her captors.
She was said to have been thrown out of a moving Volkswagen Golf car into a bush where she wandered for two days before been seen.
This was revealed yesterday, September 24, by Hosea Tsambido, the Chairman of the Chibok community while speaking at the gathering of the #BringBackOurGirls campaigners in Abuja.
As said by him, the girl who looked like she was mentally unstable gave her name as Susanna Ishaya
She was picked up at Kwarihi village and handed over to one of the Chibok parents who took her to the hospital after which she would be properly questioned.
Tsambido said: “When she was asked, she gave her name as Susanna Ishaya but right now we are not sure if it is her real name until she is really treated because the people that saw her said she is both mentally and physically sick and has been taken to the hospital.
“We believe that she was probably abandoned by Boko Haram because of her health.”
He disclosed this on a day Borno State Government announced a scholarship of N1.4million each for 36 of the 57 Chibok school girls who managed to escape from Boko Haram captivity.
Governor Kashim Shettima said the 36 girls have been admitted into international schools in Abuja, Kaduna and Plateau States, pleading not to disclose the names of the schools.
