Michigan authorities have said that a fifth grader boy found with a loaded pistol at a middle school in Michigan’s northern lower peninsula had created a list of classmates names. According to the traverse city record eagle and Mlive.com reports, the title of the list found on the back of the boy’s homework assignment suggested he wanted to harm those on the list.
The sheriff department of Grand Traverse county said another student of Kingsley middle school told the teacher the boy had the gun on Monday afternoon. Authorities say that the boy took the .25 caliber pistol from his grandfather’s house on Friday, and he told them he didn’t intend to harm anyone.
The student has been suspended for ten days and could face charges and be expelled.
