After Manchester United beat Preston North End in the FA Cup fifth round, WWE Intercontinental Champion, Bad News Barrett who is a Preston North End fan went on a twitter rage about Rooney’s dive claiming that he would love to deliver his finisher “the bull hammer” on the England captain. Rooney then teased about taking on Barrett at Wrestlemania alongside Stone Cold Steve Austin. Steve Austin then made jokes about Rooney’s hairline.

Rooney underwent surgery to correct his rescinding hairline in 2011 but Stone Cold told the Manchester United striker/midfielder to “embrace the baldness”. Steve Austin, who is retired from Pro Wrestling would make a fun partner for Rooney. Wade Barret then Suggested he team Up with Preston Captain Kevin Davies
