British tennis star, Andy Murray is up to third in the latest ATP rankings as he overtakes Spaniard, Rafael Nadal, who slipped into fourth following a disappointing showing in Rio
Murray’s previous highest rank was second in 2013 when he won WImbeldon. Murray returned from a slump to 12th following a back surgery and a long layoff. Murray has been impressive in the past few months but his efforts were not enough to displace first placed Nokak Djokovic and second placed Rodger Federer.
Murray would be in action this week alongside Federer and and Djokovic.
