Juventus Beat Dortmund 2-1 In Italy

juventus dortmund

Juventus pulled off and impressive display against relegation threatened Borussia Dortmund who did not look one bit like a struggling team as the Italian giants picked up a 2-1 win.

After about 13 minutes of sparring in the midfield, Alvaro Morata escaped down the flank before pulling back a cross that was parried out by Weidenfeller into the path of Carlos Tevez who tucked the ball home to make it 1-0. Five minutes later however, Dortmund were level as a collision between two Juventus defenders allowed Reus a one-on-one opportunity against Buffon and the German took his chance expertly making it 1-1. In the 42nd minute, Juventus were back ahead as some good work by Pogba saw him move into the Dortmund eighteen yard box before squaring the ball into Morata who made no mistake from 6 yards. Neither team was able to take complete control of the second half as Juventus held firm to deny Dortmund an opportunity for an equalizer.

Borussia Dortmund are still very much in the tie despite being a goal behind as they welcome Juventus to Signal Iduna park holding an away goal over the head of the Italians.
