MUSIC REVIEW: Korede Bello [GODWIN]

GODWIN-mp3-image

Only a few days ago Mavins’ Korede Bello dropped the infectious “God Win”, and it’s been all sorts of awesomeness –reception wise– since then.

The Don Jazzy-assisted “God Win” is a paragon, not so much for its creativity as much as it is for its radio-readiness and verve. Jazzy builds a set of local beats and tambourine sounds finished with guitar strings, a pleasing Afro sound that hits you with a swoosh of the evening breeze. Bliss!

Korede is fast becoming the self-acclaimed MegaSuperStar we love, and this new joint particularly lends credence seeing how much he blazed through Godwin in flaming colors and bravura.

Korede Bello 1

This one is feel good material by many standards, a song cutting across the various demographics and a potential hit given the needed plugging. The entire sounds and lyrical composition fuse in seamless beauty that oozes impeccability and style. Korede’s singing isn’t all that but he knows his range and he do stick to the script, another plus for the song. God Win is full of cheeriness and drive; a cool number, indigenous, original, repeat-worthy and all.

Korede Bello

This is a HIT, given the relevant push it should be stupendous.
