Manchester United Lose 2-1 To Swansea City

Manchester United’s top four hopes suffered a serious blow at the Liberty Stadium as a Gomis strike was enough to beat the red devils 2-1 to ensure that Swansea completed the league double over Manchester United this season


Manchester United were put on the backfoot by Swansea early on in the game Herrera had to clear a Gomis header off the line. Manchester United however took the lead in the 28th minute through Herrera who was found in the box by Di Maria before ahe drove a low shot into the corner. Two minutes later however Swansea were on level terms as Ki poked home a Shelvey cross to make it 1-1. Manchester United took control of the match in the second half but in the 73rd minute, Jonjo Shelvey attempted a long ranger and his shot was deflected off Gomis back into the net.


Manchester United have now slipped into 4th position as Southampton overtook them
