Chelsea To Contest Matic Red Card

Chelsea are set to launch an official appeal against the red card shown to Nemenja Matic in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Burnley on Saturday.

Nemanja Matic shoved an opponent to the floor after the Serbian had been on the receiving end of a terrible tackle. Matic was shown a straight red card for his troubles in the 70^th minute before Burnley went ahead and equalized.

As Chelsea slowly approach the final stretch of the premier league campaign, Chelsea cannot afford to be without the league’s third most effective tackler (according to Opta)
