Arsenal battled to a 2-1 victory at the Emirates over Leicester City as two first half strikes from Walcott and Koscielny were enough to see Wenger’s men past the foxes.
Leicester started the game brightly and looked to take advantage of the Gunners’ nervousness but Arsenal pegged them back in the 28th minute as Koscielny lost his marker before heading home Ozil’s corner kick to make it one nil. Walcot made it 2 for Arsenal in the 41st minute after Ozil’s shot was parried into his path by Schwarzer. Leicester looked to fight back in the second half and in the 61st minute, Kramaric fired one in for Leicester from just inside the box. Leicester made a fight for it in the closing minutes as they chased a point but Arsenal showed great defensive fortitude to grab all three points on the night.
The win would be spoilt for Arsenal as Aaron Ramsey, who recently returned from injury ad to leave the pitch with an injury after coming on as a substitute
