#RealFansBuyMusic is a campaign against free music downloads and piracy, proudly supported by the Nigerian music industry officials, artistes and the major digital music distribution platform, Spinlet. A host of the industry’s biggest acts recently came together to make a video to educate the public and try to address this issue.
In the video, shot by renowned music video director Clarence Peters, artistes talk about the negative impacts of piracy and illegal downloads on the music industry and to them as individuals and ask their fans all around the world to support their favourite artistes by buying their music and saying “NO TO ILLEGAL DOWNLOADS”. The video was produced by Joke Jaiyesimi.
