Project Fame 7.0: Day 33, Banky W Visits the Academy

Banky W visited the contestants On Friday the 23rd of august, 2014. He was welcomed with cheers, screams and hugs from the contestants. He consoled with Clement asking him how he was coping. He congratulated all the contestants for making it that far in the competition. He applauded them for following their dreams, telling them that there was bound to be a lot of hearts broken as only one of the contestants was bound to win the competition.

Furthermore, Banky W told the contestants that the real competition for all of them starts when the show has ended as they need to come up with their own materials and not sing other people’s songs. He encouraged them to hold on to their dreams and pursue it with zeal.

During the question and answer session of his visit, Taiwo asked him what he thinks the next step should be for the contestants. Banky W replied by telling them to focus on themselves. He told them it was important for them to create a musical niche for themselves, ensuring that they network well amongst fellow musical artists and music producers. He outlined the importance of social media tools for musical promotions.

More so, Geoffrey asked if Banky W’s parents supported his musical career. He answered by saying his parents had always known he was going to do music. He told them how tough it was for him to come back from the US to start his music career in Nigeria saying he had to borrow money at some point to survive and to foot the bills of his musical productions. After this, he sang his song “don’t break my heart” to the delight of the contestants.
