The department of state services has advised the public to be vigilant following the alleged theft of catholic reverend sisters regalia from a tailors shop in Kano. According to the news agency of Nigeria, this was contained in a statement issued by the spokeswoman of the service, ms Marilyn Ogar.
It states that unidentified persons broke into the shop and made away with the regalia’s, and with the recent trends of female suicide bombers in the country, the theft heightened concerns about the possibility of terrorist elements using same to perpetrate the act of terrorism, and the service wishes to draw the attention of the public and call on citizens to be more circumspect and exercise vigilance with users of such peculiar attire.
The statement also urged the public to show cooperation with security agencies by providing useful information on suspected activities in their immediate environments.
