Arsenal had to come back from two goals down to snatch a draw in what was a very entertaining football match at the Goodison park.
Seamus Coleman rose to nod a cross at the back post in the first half before Everton caught Arsenal on the counter and Naismith ran onto Lukaku’s reverse pass to extend Everton’s lead futher
In the second half, Arsenal turned it up a notch and pressed Everton deep into their half and the pressure paid off as Santi Carzola’s low cross into the 6-yard box was met by Aaron Ramsey who had the simple job of knocking the ball into an empty net. Arsenal continued to attack with Everton waiting to counter on the break. But when jagielka misjudged the flight of Monreal’s cross, Giroud was on hand to hold off Distin and nod the ball into the right corner of the Everton net.
The game was keenly contested and Pinear and Lukaku did not finish the game as both players were forced off early on with Pinear forced off as early as the seventh minute.
Arsenal now have four points from two games while Everton have only managed two points.
