American doctor who contracted Ebola virus disease in Liberia, Dr Kent brantly, has attributed his recovery to God and not the experimental Zmapp drug used in treating him. Dr Kent made this statement during his first public speech after being discharged from the Emory university hospital in united state of America almost a month since contracting the disease in Liberia.
In an online video posted on friday, he shared stories of how he started as a medical missionary in Liberia with his family, and the period during the sickness stating that he prayed to God always. While he thanked the medical staff in the isolation unit of Emory hospital, he believed his survival was a direct answer to thousand and thousand of prayers. According to Kent, “God saved my life”. He also urged people to continue to pray for Liberia and the people of west Africa.
Also the president, Samaritan purse, a religious charity organization, Franklin Graham ascribed the doctors’ faith in God for his speedy recovery.
