Kano Pillars beat Al Malakia of Sudan 3-0 to complete a five nil aggregate win to qualify for the first round of the CAF champions league while a 1-0 win over Vegeterenios helped Dolphins earn a penalty shootout win after the tie finished 1-1 on aggregate to qualify for the first round of the CAF confederations cup.
The goalkeeper, Sunday Rotimi was on top of his game saving Guy Yannice’s penalties to take his side to the first round of the confederations cup. Gambo Mohammed bagged a brace as Ezekiel Mba was olso on target for the reigning Nigerian premier league champions who were by far the better team against Al Malakia on the night to ensure their qualification for the first round of the Champions league.
Both Kano Pillars and Dolphins would be looking to go all the way in the champions league and confederations cup.
