Following his disappointment at not getting the job as Burkina Faso manager, former Nigerian manager, Stephen Keshi has stated that he does not want to manage the Super Eagles any more.
Stephen Keshi’s contract with the NFF over the management of the mens’ senior national team ran out after the world cup in Brazil last year. Keshi was widely expected to get a contract extension from the NFF but conflicting stories, accusations and counter accusations somehow resulted in “the big boss” not being offered a contract. There are still some factions that want Keshi to be retained as Nigeria are still without a manager but the former Togo trainer showed that he might not be interested in the Super Eagles job when he expressed interest in the Burkina Faso job. Speaking to reporters after he didn’t get the job, Keshi was asked if he would consider managing Nigeria if he was offered the contract and he said he would not want to work with the NFF again, going on to call the officials liars, claiming he and the other coaches still have outstanding payment.
Keshi’s achievements in national team management in Africa are very impressive and it would’t be long before one of the African nations snap up the 2013 AFCON winning manager
