Barcelona Beat Granada 3-1 To Cut Gap In La Liga

granada barcelona

Barcelona produced a great display to see off Granada as Suarez and Lionel Messi were on target in a 3-1 victory over Granada as they continue to chase Real Madrid in the la liga.

Barcelona took a while to get started in the match but they controlled the match. In the 25th minute however, when Suarez brole into the Granada box, the Uruguayan had the presence of mind to square the ball back to Rakitic who tapped the ball home to give Barcelona the lead. Lus Suarez doubled Barcelona’s lead three minutes after the restart, finishing with aplomb after running on to a pass from Rakitic. Granada looked to fight back quickly and in the 53rd minute, Bangoura was brought down by Bartra and Rico was on hand to convert the penalty. Granada could not get a foothold on the game and in the 70th minute, Suarez broke into the box again, rounded the goalkeeper before setting up Messi to make it 3-1.

Barcelona have reduced Real Madrid’s lead at the top of the la liga to one point but the European champions still have a game in hand.
