Wolfburg have completed the signing of former Chelsea winger and world cup winner, Andre Schurrle in a deal that was completed in the closing hours of the transfer window.
Schurrle was set to be sacrificed by Chelsea in order to secure the services of Cuadrado. Set to return to the Bundeslga, Schurrle was chased by a couple of German clubs before Wolfsburg emerged as the front runners for the 24 year old’s signature.
Wolfsburg are looking to secure a top three finish in the German league this season and the purchase of Schurrle is a step in the right direction.
