Ronaldo Scores 200th La Liga Goal As Real Beat Celta 3-0

Call him whatever you want to, but you cannot deny the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is a wonderful footballer. The former Manchester United man put in an impressive shift as he scored all of Real’s goals in the 3-0 demolition of Celta Vigo scoring his 200^th La Liga goal along the way and breaking Alfredo Di Stephano’s record with his 23^rd Hat trick in the Spanish top flight.

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 36^th minute as he converted a penalty after Castro was adjudged to have tripped him just inside the area. Real continued to dominate but had to wait until the 65^th minute when Ronaldo pounced on a loose bouncing ball just outside the area and fired past the helpless Alvarez to make it 2-0. Ronaldo completed the scoring with nine minutes to go, tapping in Marcelo’s low cross.

Ronaldo was in a celebratory mood as he rounded off the week in style after being nominated for the Ballon d’Or alongside Manuel Neuer and Lionel Messi earlier on in the week
