Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah currently on loan at Fiorentina was the hero for the Florence club as they emerged 2-1 winners over rivals Juventus in the Copa Italia.

Juventus dominated the early going but in the 11th minute, Salah broke free and was able to curl a left footed strike past Storari in the Juventus goal to make it 1-0 to Fiorentina. 13 minutes later however Juventus were back on level terms as Llorente rose highest to meet Simone Pepe’s cross to make it 1-1. Juventus controlled the rest of the first half but both sides went in level at the break. Juventus started the second half as brightly as they did the first but 11 minutes after the restart, Salah again found the net, forcing his way past the Juve defense before applying a smart finish to give his side the lead. Fiorentina held on to grab a precious victory over Juventus

Salah has now scored six goals in seven appearances for Fiorentina with only four starts. Fiorentina would take a slight advantage into the second leg of the clash
