Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho has expressly stated that John Terry, whose Chelsea contract expires in the summer would be offered a new deal at the end of the season.

Chelsea’s 34 year old captain, John Terry has amassed over 550 appearances for the London club and scored the first goal in Chelsea’s 2-0 capital one cup final win over Tottenham. Terry has also formed a formidable partnership with either Gary Cahill or Zouma over the course of the season and has been instrumental to Chelsea’s run in the premier league, the Champions league and their win in the capital one cup. Mourinho told reporters that the former England captain was getting a new deal after the capital one cup. “I can guarantee he will be a Chelsea player next season,” said Mourinho. “No doubts he’s going to get his contract.” Mourinho said when asked about Terry’s future.

Chelsea are most likely going to offer Terry a one year contract and probably cut his pay but the legendary defender would not hesitate to accept a new deal.
