Drogba’s Chelsea Stay Could Be Extended: Mourinho

Jose Mourinho brought Didier Drogba back to Chelsea on a one year contract but the Portuguese may be considering extending the 37 year old’s stay for another season owing to his brilliant performances.

In his pre match conference earlier today, Mourinho was asked about the big Ivorian’s plans for hanging his boots, Mourinho responded saying “We love him, we want him, he’s a great player. He should stop when he wants. After that I know Mr Abramovich is very happy to keep him in the club in every area where we feel and he feels, he is useful and happy. But that’s after he makes the decision of stopping, which I don’t think is tomorrow.”

Drogba looks set to stay at Chelsea for a while whether as a player or functioning in a non-playing role.
