At least, Arsene Wenger would be eased a little bit. Following the loss to Stoke City at the weekend, Arsenal fans seemed to have had enough but today’s win would put the club in high spirits.
Lukas Podolski opened the scoring with a powerful drive after just three minutes, and Aaron Ramsey doubled the lead just eight minutes later with a composed finish.
Ramsey made it 3-0 before half time with a wonderful volley. Wesley Sneijder pulled one back with a late free-kick before Podolski rounded off the victory with a side-footed finish in stoppage time.
Galatasaray – Arsenal 0-2. Ramsey!
