According to the chairman of the Nigerian Football Federation, Felix Anyansi Agwu, representatives of the NFF are set to meet with former head coach, Stephen Keshi to discuss terms over a new contract.

According to Felix Anyansi Agwu, NFF had sent a contract offer to Stephen Kesi but the former Togo head coach had replied through his lawyer requesting for a meeting after he described the terms suggested by NFF in the offer as “degrading to his abilities” “There is a meeting between the NFF and Keshi on Wednesday in Abuja,” Anyansi told reporter “Recently the NFF wrote Keshi and displayed their displeasure at the turn of event regarding the contract stipulations sent to him. The letter was also meant for him to give us a feedback. Keshi replied us through his lawyer and requested for a meeting which is coming up on Wednesday in Abuja.” The NFF are currently without a manager and had initially refrained from offering Keshi a contract as they searched for alternatives.

The NFF would want to move into the next round of friendlies against Bolivia and South Africa with a permanent head coach who has a plan in place as he intends to lead Nigeria to the 2017 African Cup of Nations and the 2018 World Cup
