Manchester United are very aware of their defensive frailties and they are looking to fix it as they have offered Real Madrid 30 million euros for Raphael Varane
Varane is keen on making more first team appearances and the Frenchman has made it clear to Real Madrid that he is willing to seek more playing time outside the Bernabeau. Even though Real Madrid are unwilling to release the young defender, they slapped a 30 million euro asking price on him. Manchester United are willing to meet that price as they look to bring in an established center back to help stabilize the defense.
Manchester United are looking to make the deal happen before Chelsea can hijack the deal with a promise of Champions league football which Manchester United cannot guarantee at the moment.
