Novak Djokovic is through to his fifth Australian Open final after beating Wawrinka in unconvincing fashion in a five set thriller.
Djokovic won the first set on a tie break but Wawrinka came back strongly to win the second set, then in a set plagued with errors on both players paths, Djokovic took the set 6-4 before a series on unforced errors combine with some sublime play by Wawrinka gave Wawrinka the fourth set 6-4. With Wawrinka tired and Djokovic ready to go the distance, the Serb easily brushed Wawrinka aside in the third set winning it 6-0.
Djokovic is now set for a clash with Andy Murray as he chases his fifth Australian open trophy.
