Dani Alves Rejects Barcelona Deal

Barcelona finally offered Dani Alves a contract extension at the start of the week following rumors of his possible departure from the Catalan club. Alves has however rejected the offer as the Brazilian believes the terms proposed by Barcelona do not match his ability on the pitch.

Alves has been an integral part of Barcelona for over six years now but was disappointed at Barcelona when the Catalan club seemingly refused to offer him a new deal. Alves was believed to have commenced negotiations with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain over a possible free move to either club when Barcelona offered a contract to the former Sevilla man on Monday. Following two rounds of meetings with Alves representatives, Alves is believed to be unimpressed by Barcelona’s valuation of him and is nowhere close to signing a contract extension with the La liga league leaders.

Manchester United and PSG fans had better gear up as Alves may just be joining them in the summer after all.
